2007 show sets attendance, exhibitor records

The 2007 Commercial Construction Show set records for buyer attendance and exhibition hall size at the mid-May event in Chicago.
The show, owned and produced by D&D Communications Group LLC, is the host event for Retail Construction Expo, Healthcare Building Expo and Hospitality Construction Expo. The three-day program included industry-specific executive summits, extensive seminar programs, networking events and 275 exhibiting companies.
“The response from exhibitors and attendees confirms that the new format is the way to go,” said David Corson, president of D&D Communications Group LLC. “This year’s growth points the way to an even-larger event next year.”
The 2008 Commercial Construction Show will be held June 3-5 at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando.
The 2007 exhibition hall was more than 30 percent larger than 2006 and buyer registration jumped 45 percent, according to show producers. Several seminars and the Retail Summit sold out in advance of the show.
“We look forward to bringing the show to Orlando,” said Dave Doucette, vice president of D&D Communications Group LLC. “We believe that moving the show from mid-May to early June puts the show in a better timeframe, away from many industry events that routinely happen in May.”
Show officials said that while much of the 2008 exhibit hall space is already sold, there are still many good booth locations available. For information on exhibiting at the 2008 Commercial Construction Show, contact Dustin Dozier at 770.781.2501 or visit www.cc-show.net.
